My name is Amy West, and I help women and men of all ages to uncover their bodies’ innate wisdom and achieve the wellness they seek, one step at a time.
Movement has been the unifying thread of my career, shaping both my artistic and professional pursuits.
With 24 years as a professional ballet dancer and my current role as an assistant professor of dance at the University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre & Dance, I have devoted my life to exploring movement and its relationship to the body.
Beyond dance, my work extends into exploring holistic well-being. As a Mayo Clinic-certified and National Board-certified Health & Wellness Coach, with certifications in personal training, Pilates, and Essentrics, I collaborate with clients on a journey of self-discovery—unlocking strength in the body, mind, and spirit. Movement is more than an action; it becomes an integral part of who we are. My approach harnesses movement as a powerful tool for personal growth, resilience, and overall well-being.
